Kemo is a restaurant located in the center of Barcelona, on Ronda Universitat, one of the most touristy and bustling areas of the city. We created the brand identity based on the gastronomic concept: hot Asian cuisine recipes.
The difference from the abundant sushi places was evident, and the brand needed to reflect this in order to position the restaurant and explain it to the consumer with a minimal and essential expression of its identity. That’s where Kemo was born.
The naming is a clear allusion to the temperature at which the dishes are served.
The blazing K does the rest of the work.
Red and black dominate the atmosphere, where lights and neons rescue the space from deliberate darkness.
We have burned the table envelopes, charred under the plates and the glasses of the diners. We have overlaid neon flames on images of fans and created two unique large-sized lamps, each equipped with fifty fire extinguishers. This is what we call scenic branding, the articulation of a narrative that is sustained even without relying on words. Show, don’t tell.
